Playing in the sprinkler!
We took an afternoon & went into D.C. Here we are driving through Chinatown.
We saw this sign in a restaurant & couldn’t resist as one of Micah’s nicknames for Audrey is ‘Squidgy’. Apparently, we are moving into the ‘camera smile’ phase!
We went to the National Museum of Natural History (Smithsonian) for the kids to see all the animals. Audrey insisted on taking this picture of an armadillo!
They have most of their dinosaur bones put away right now as they are working on a new exhibit to be opened in 2019 (only 5 more years to wait), which was kind of a bummer since the whole reason we took the kids to the museum was for Ezra to get to see dinosaur skeletons! To keep everyone happy they have this ‘live’ dinosaur ‘exhibit’. When you stand in front of a certain area, you are basically looking at a live feed of yourself & everyone else around you. Then over top of that live feed, they have ‘dinosaurs’ walking around. Right here it looks like T-Rex is about to eat Ezra while Micah takes a picture!
After the museum, we met up with one of Micah’s former middle school students who was in D.C. for an internship. As you can see from Audrey’s picture, we ate at Five Guys. Sadly, I didn’t get a picture of Micah with his student!
This is a fairly normal occurrence while we are in Maryland. The kids playing (Ezra was working on his photography skills here) & mom or dad or both working on getting all the things done that need to be done before we head back to Spain.
This is a bit blurry, but playdoh is a super fun thing to do at Nene & Da’s house! There are all sorts of tools & accessories to play with!
No visit to Maryland is complete until you have Rita’s Italian Ice!!
