Micah had the opportunity to attend an educator’s conference at BFA during spring break so the kids & I went along to visit with our friends in the area! Here are some pictures from our adventures!
Right near our gate in the Madrid airport was a kids’ play place!
The kids weren’t the only ones who were excited!!
Then we hit the jackpot… a ‘preschool’ where parents can stay with their kids while they are waiting for their flight!
All of us were VERY happy!
It even had a slide & a ball pit, along with a kids’ bathroom complete with a place to change a baby or give a baby a bath! I’m excited that Madrid is our ‘local’ airport!!!
Sadly, the 1 hour & 45 minute flight did not go that well. I was trying to keep our trip through security shorter by not bringing liquids & that backfired. Audrey cried for the last 30 minutes of our flight! Needless to say, we were all happy to arrive in Germany!
The kids were excited that the house we stayed in had a pug named Poxy! Ezra would say each morning, “Let’s go see if our dog is awake!”
Wandering up the alleyway
We got to have a delicious lunch with our friends & their four girls, the youngest of whom is 6 months old! That’s right, Audrey is about the size of their 6-month old!!! They wear the same-sized clothes!
Ezra enjoyed playing outside with the girls
Contemplating the German countryside!
Good Cinder! She is so patient with all the kids!
Audrey LOVED the baby!
We had a great time visiting our friends, Rick & Mary Beth.
Ezra was so proud of himself for covering Audrey with a blanket while she was drinking her bottle!
Our second to last day we woke up to snow! Ezra asked, “Can we get our Christmas tree now?” I tried to explain it was spring, but I don’t think he believed me!
It continued to snow for the remainder of our time there!
We had a big playdate with lots of kids! It was fun to get a chance to visit with some of the moms!
We had a great time visiting our friends (I, of course, forgot to take pictures of many of them) & enjoyed the Germany countryside, but it was nice to get back to our home in Spain. Thankfully, Audrey did much better on the return flight!
