We have a vehicle! We are SO thankful! God provided in ways we were not even expecting! One of the men we met at our church has a friend who is a mechanic so Micah went with these two men to look at privately-owned used cars a number of times until they found one that the mechanic felt was a good value. They were able to negotiate the price of the car & the cost of transferring the title into our budget! This is a 2003 Peugeot 307 SW (for anyone who cares about the little details!). It has just over 100,000 km (62,000 mi. approx.). It is essentially a station wagon with 5 seats, but has 2 jump seats in the back we can use when we need to carry 7 passengers. You can’t tell from the picture, but it has a very large moonroof that makes it feel like we are driving in an observation car! The color of the car wouldn’t have my been my first choice, but it is growing on me! For better or for worse, the car is already ‘christened’ with scratches & dings, which are very common for cars in Spain. This way I won’t be paranoid about our car getting its’ first scratch!
We haven’t gotten to drive it yet (other than home) as we are still looking into insurance, which, of course, takes some time to figure out in a new country & a foreign language! We are thanking God for His provision in our lives once again!
